Limited Edition of 125. At high tide the waves surge forward engulfing the sea wall at Raglan’s Manu Bay as a sea mist approaches the coastline. I decided on a slow shutter speed of 1/5sec for this image as I wanted to show the movement of the wave as it broke over the wall. At this speed it was slow enough to blur the faster moving water but fast enough to give the waves some definition, which I wanted, to help tell the story. Turning the image to black and white imbued the scene with more drama and a sense of foreboding. Printed on Ilford Smooth Cotton Rag 310gsm.
